Adult Treatment Provider Training
In-person and virtual training for treatment providers working with adults in the justice system.
Overview
Presented in partnership with the American Society of Addiction Medicine, this training is designed for addiction treatment professionals working with adult clients in treatment courts and other justice interventions. This highly customizable training allows professionals both new and advanced to learn evidence-based methods for the effective treatment of justice-involved individuals with substance use disorders.
Participants can choose to attend trainings virtually or in-person and over one or two days. One-day trainings are designed for individuals of all experience levels, while two-day trainings are for professionals with three or more years of experience. Continuing education hours are available.
What's Covered
One-day trainings (all experience levels):
- Medication for addiction treatment (MAT)
- Working with the justice system
- Screening and assessment strategies
- Cognitive behavioral approaches for justice-involved individuals
- And more!
Two-day trainings (professionals with 3+ years of experience):
- All topics in the one-day training, plus:
- The science of substance use disorders
- Understanding the role of trauma in substance use disorders
- Ethical issues

Cost
All treatment provider trainings are delivered free of charge. If applicable, travel costs to in-person trainings are not covered by this program.
